This item is a pair of Medhurst brackets designed for use with scales. The dimensions are approximately 15 1/8 inches by 23 1/2 inches. The brackets were created around the year 1900.
There were once part of a Medhurst Weighing machine (Scales). They are cast iron, so quite heavy. Would make a great coffee table.
