Mein of Kelso Rosewood Library Table

Early 19th Century (c.1815) antique rosewood freestanding library table probably by ‘James Mein of Kelso’, the rectangular top with rounded corners in book matched rosewood, the frieze with a pair of drawers on one side and faux drawers on the other side, the overlapping top with foliate carved brackets, supported on a pair of tapering trestles with foliate carving, with buttresses and classic dragooning, all resting on a platform base with rounded corners, simple moulding with a polished frieze sitting on four fluted feet with original concealed castors.
