Mid 19th Century French Palais Royal Mahogany Sewing Box

This is a ssuperb example of a mid 19th century French Palais Royal flame Mahogany sewing box in the form of a miniature grand piano. The charming piano keys on the top of the box are inlaid with bone and ebony. The box has three beautifully decorative brass mounts to front of the box and stands on four turned legs with brass hairy paw feet. Open the box to reveal the original mirror to the back of the inside lid and a original sewing tray, lift out the sewing tray to reveal a section to the underneath we have relined it with marble paper.
