Miniature Portrait Blue Eyed Young Girl 1890

A stunning Hand Painted Miniature Portrait of a young child dating to the later part of the 19th century. Painted by Miss Eleanor Frances Wardlow who exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1893 and 1899. She has beautiful long blond curled hair with stricking blue eyes and wearing a dress with a gold silk waistband with a posy of flowers. The Miniature is presented behind glass in a much later gilt locket frame and comes with it's original wooden carrying case.
Celia Rose Antiques has clarified that the Miniature Portrait Blue Eyed Young Girl 1890 (LA311851) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1890
All in all in excellent antique condition, the painting has no fading or loss of colour, at some stage a fine crack has been professionally restored, virtually undetectable but mentioned for accuracy. The travel icase is battered but has done it's job in helping to protect the miniature.
