Description
This is a very alluring set of five Mughal paintings of lovers dating from the mid 19th Century presented in bespoke oak cruciform frame. The paintings are all very well executed in strong gouche paintings and show courtly lovers in a variety of palace garden settings in the evening. These are all in excellent condition.
The solid oak cruciform frame is beautifully made with each painting having a gilt wood slip. Overall this measures 44 cms by 35 cms.
