A fantastic engraving of Napoleon 1 Circa 1860, after Paul Delaroche, from the picture in the Royal Collection. Portrait of Napoléon I at Saint Helena, after Delaroche; sitting at night on top of a rocky promontory overlooking the sea, head resting on hand, facing the viewer; published in the 'Art Journal' in 1860. Engraving and engraving on chine collé The print was made by Charles William Sharpe circa 1860. It has been well framed in an empire style gilt wood, the size is approximately 33.5 x 25.5 cm including frame.
