A very nice clean, bright and tight copy. bound in green cloth with gilt title to spine and front board and black illustrations of river and reeds and gilt dragonfly . end papers and many more pages front and back full of wonderful Victorian adverts. first and last paste downs have a 2" piece removed from were a brown paper cover has been removed, front and last end paper browned. Fold out map of the Thames and a fold out table of distances and scenes along the way. Many small actual photographs of houses and scenes along the river in sepia tone taken by the author alongside a coloured map. Published in 1880. A scarce book.
