Omega Globemaster1958 Vintage 10ct Gold Filled Original Boxes Receipts & Strap

Gentleman's original Swiss Omega 'Globemaster' automatic wrist watch (calibre 501) with ivory coloured dial in a 10ct gold filled (stamped and has a lovely soft pink 'blush') chunky 'dog leg' case. C~ 1958. The 'Globemaster' name was used in the U.S.A and Canada and was the forerunner of the Omega Constellation. Complete with the original hard case silver inner box and gold cardboard outer boxes, original guarantee and receipt and original un-worn Omega leather strap with gold plated Omega buckle. Full working order and keeping excellent time with the regulator being correctly sat in the central position. (Please excuse all the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures as was extremely difficult to photograph). DIAL;- Highly attractive deep ivory coloured cross hair dial which is in super condition with just an extremely (micro) bit of overall patina showing under eyeglass only. Clearly stamped in black script; OMEGA AUTOMATIC Globemaster and has the raised gold Omega horseshoe symbol above. Stamped in black script to base of dial; SWISS. Slightly raised gold Arabic numbers (3,6,9,12) with gold dagger markers in between. Black seconds markers forming the inner chapter ring. Original gold (once luminous) delphine hour and minute hands (no loss of infill to either) and gold sweep hand all of which are in straight, un-marked order. Domed crystal (suspect original) showing some very light overall little surface scratches as to be expected. CASE;- Original 10ct rose gold filled (stamped) chunky case with fabulous 'dog leg' lugs. Measures 3.4cm width (excluding the winder) and 4.2cm lug to lug. In excellent condition with no wear or indentations and again just a few light and superficial little surface scratches showing under eyeglass. Stainless steel slightly engine turned back cover (still retains the original white rubber seal) which is clearly stamped; 10K GF BEZ STEEL BACK. Stamped to the inside (within a triangle shaped cartouche); OMEGA WATCH Co 10K GF BEZEL STEEL BACK and is numbered; E06364 FX6282. Also carries a capital letter; J with an arrow piercing through. No service marks which leads me to suspect this watch has predominately been kept in the original boxes and had very little use. MOVEMENT;- Top grade Swiss 20 jewel fire gilt automatic lever movement which is clearly stamped to the rotor; OMEGA WATCH Co SWISS and is stamped to the top plate; TWENTY 20 JEWELS CAL 501 (with the Omega horseshoe symbol above). Numbered; 16502782 - dating to 1958. Original crisp gold filled winding crown which is free from any wear and operates correctly. Hand set operates correctly and the watch once left for a period of time and run down will start up with just the lightest movement. Builds up a big power reserve when worn. STRAP;- Complete with the original 18mm black padded leather Omega strap which looks to be totally unworn. Boldly stamped to the back in gold script; OMEGA - again with the gold Omega horseshoe symbol above. Original Omega gold plated buckle which is stamped to the back; PLAQUE G SWISS. The watch is fitted with a very unusual gold filled expandable strap with curved end pieces. Stamped to the inside; FLEXA S.P. Comes with the original six spare links. BOXES;- Original hard case silver inner box (measures; 11cm x 9.5cm x 5cm height) with rich red velvet to base and internal lid. Still retains the original red velvet watch pillow. Carries the slightly raised silver Omega symbol to top set upon a gold background. Stamped to the inside in silver raised script (set upon a black coloured plaque); OMEGA and stamped to the front of the internal base in gold lettering; Globemaster. Original gold cardboard outer box (measures 12 x 10 x 5.5cm height) which again carries the Omega symbol to top. Exceptional condition with just a little (micro) bit of drawer wear to the outer box only (no splits or indentations). PAPERWORK;- Original Omega 'Unconditional Guarantee' (with original paper wallet) which still retains the Owners Coupon to back page showing the watch was purchased in Toronto February 18th 1961. Original receipt from LA Vogue Jewellers Ltd, Toronto again dated 18th February 1961. Original booklet 'The Function And Features Of Omega Watches'. APPRAISAL;- A rare find.
