Description
This is an original old ships wheel from a working vessel. It is inscribed "Mactaggart Scott & Co. Ltd" a company established in the 1890s and has continued trading to this day, near Edinburgh.
I am told the Company was involved in the design of the old Tower Bridge London and the landing device for planes on aircraft carriers.
NB it is very heavy
