Painted Silk-work Panel on Brass Rail Antique Victorian c.1860

This item is a hand painted silkwork panel mounted on a brass rail, dating from approximately 1860. It is representative of mid-Victorian needlework and sewing techniques. The panel features intricate floral,leaf and berries designs created hand painted designs. The brass rail serves as a functional and decorative element, typical of mid-19th century British craftsmanship. A lovely genuine period panel set inside a giltwood and glass frame and presented in good antique condition with minor fade and very slight tear top right see image 6.
