Pair of Edwardian Arts & Crafts Inlaid Mahogany Parlour Chairs A charming pair of Edwardian Arts & Crafts mahogany parlour chairs, dating from the early 20th century and showcasing the elegant simplicity and craftsmanship associated with the Arts & Crafts movement. Each chair features a beautifully inlaid stylised floral motif to the central splat, delicate string inlay to the crest rail and slender turned uprights, giving them a refined and distinctive appearance. Their light, elegant proportions make them ideal as hall chairs, bedroom chairs, occasional seating or decorative accent chairs, while the attractive upholstery adds a touch of period charm. The generously padded seats are upholstered in a lovely striped fabric featuring soft green-blue and cream bands with delicate floral detailing and gold accents, complementing the rich mahogany frames beautifully. Condition; * Good vintage condition overall. * Solid and sturdy despite their lightweight, elegant construction. * Attractive mahogany colour with decorative inlaid detailing throughout. * Upholstered seat pads remain in good condition with no significant wear. * Historic woodworm present to the underside of the seat rails, more noticeable on one chair than the other.
