Pair of Staffordshire Highland Figures c.1850
This attractive pair of Staffordshire figures depict two Highland figures dressed in their tartans, one holding a bird and the other holding a nest. The figures have been hand painted with overglaze polychrome enamels and underglaze cobalt blue for their jackets. The detailing includes some hand finished bocage.

Wessex House Antiques has clarified that the Pair of Staffordshire Highland Figures c.1850 (LA127569) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1850
condition
The figures have some minor areas of paint wear allowing the bright white glaze to show, this is quite normal for figures of this period. One figure has a very small chip to the top of their hat. There is general glaze cracking, again quite normal. The gilt line on the base is worn. Nonetheless the figures have a very appealing and overall extremely attractive appearance. Please inspect the photographs closely to assess the condition and quality of these handsome pieces.
