Description

These are a superb pair of 19th Century antique Staffordshire Poodles with chip-glazed coats, applied by hand, and separately moulded front legs. Wessex House Antiques has clarified that the Pair of Staffordshire Poodles c.1850 (LA118047) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being c.1850

The poodles are in excellent condition with no restoration, cracks or chips. There are some small areas on the black overglaze enamel where the white underglaze shows through, which is quite usual for Staffordshire pieces of this era.
