Pocket Watch Chain Fob Victorian 12ct Gold Filled & Carnelian Huge 1890s Fob

Original Victorian Gentleman's very large and highly impressive 12ct gold filled (professionally tested, known in the UK as rolled gold) and carnelian stone pocket watch chain Antique fancy fob. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.5cm height (including the top ring), 2.5cm width, 2.2cm depth and weighs a heavy 13.7 grams. Extremely ornate yellow gold filled Victorian fancy fob which is beautifully (and very unusually) adorned to front and back with an elaborate 'wicker basket' decoration to centre which is holding a highly detailed, slightly raised rose and daisy flower with acanthus leaves to either side. Held securely to the crisp, fluted base is a large, un-engraved, highly polished, oblong shaped, bevel edge red / deep salmon pink carnelian stone which measures 2.2cm x 1.9cm (could be glass)which is in amazing condition with no 'flea nibbles' or scratches. Fabulous wide engine turned bail with little raised finial and robust gold plated top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with absolutely no damage, wear or patina - looks to have had very little (if any) use - perhaps only high days and holidays.
