Powder & Rouge Compact Vanity Case with Wristlet Elgin American Art Deco Flapper Era c.1920

On offer is this Art Deco flapper era vanity purse which dates circa 1920. The case has a shield shape and measures a maximum of 6cm by 5.5cm excluding the wrist chain which adds a further 9.5cm to the overall length. The compact is made of white metal with plain base and attractive machine turned pattern to the lid. The lid also has a blank oblong cartouche and an applied blue guilloche enamel plaque with pretty pink rose and foliage. Inside there is a powder well in the base covered by a turning dial powder dispensing door. Under the lid is a clear and reflective mirror and a small rouge well with some remaining rouge. The case is marked EAM beneath the powder well. This Art Deco vanity purse is offered in good condition with a few dings to the base. No other condition issues are noted.
