Pretty Antique Carved Wooden Bird with Grapes Hand Mirror - 19th Century, Bevelled Glass

This is a simply stunning and very rare carved wooden hand mirror with an attractive Art Nouveau design of a bird with grapes. The front of the handle is also carved as the stem of the vine and there are initials at the base which look like "Br" in gothic script style letters. The whole pieces oozes both quality and the ultimate in Art Nouveau style and elegance. The mirror is in very good antique condition. The bevelled glass appears to have no wear and the wooden frame has a very pleasing rich, dark patina. The whole piece has the authentic patina that only age and time is able to give. The piece measures about 13.5 inches (34.4 cm) in length, and about 5.25 inches (13.5 cm) in width across the broadest part of the back. The item displays very well and would add interest on a dressing table. I have not actually come across such a stunning original Art Nouveau piece before, so don't wait to add it to your collection. A lovely piece which would make a perfect gift for someone special and would be ideal to display in a dressing room or boudoir.
