Print of the "Broken Pitcher" by Jean Baptiste Greuze (1725-1805). The French artist was a painter of portraits and genre scenes. In this work the subject holds a broken jug in her hand symbolising her lost virginity. The original oil on canvas is in the Louvre Museum in France. The print is presented in a intricate gilded frame retailed by Muller and Co of London and Birmingham.
