Queen Anne Style Burr Walnut Canterbury / Magazine Rack (c.1920)

A fabulous example of early 20th-century English revival furniture. Circa 1930, this elegant Canterbury is crafted in the George II style, featuring the rich, swirling grain of premium burr walnut veneers. With scalloped, serpentine top edge and a practical central carry handle. A true mark of quality is found on the shield-shaped side panels, which showcase expertly book-matched veneers, creating a perfect symmetrical mirror image of the natural wood grain. Standing on a classic trestle-style base with turned supports and a central stretcher, the piece terminates in graceful, swept legs. This is a versatile addition to any interior—perfectly suited for storing oversized coffee table books, magazines, or sheet music. This is in good used condition and carries the commensurate marks of age and character, one photo shows a visible screw from the construction on the foot, which previously may have had a walnut dowel hiding it.
