Rare 18th Century Liege Wine Glass c.1725

An exceptionally rare example of an 18th century Liege wine glass which dates to c.1725. It has a waisted round funnel bowl with a very unusual raised square nut moulding. Sits on a clear stem with shoulder and basal knops above a conical folded foot. A superb example, probably made at the Nizet glasshouse in Belgium. The glass comes from the Ira Shrager collection and was last on the market in 2016. No other examples of this form as been seen since that time.
