Rare 19th Century Aesthetic Movement Ebonised Over Mantel Mirror

This is a beautiful and rare over mantel mirror in the style of Aesthetic Movement. It has an ebonised wood frame with chamfoured edges highlighted in gold and charming carved stylised floral motifs with white highlights. The frame features beautiful handpainted floral posies. At the center of the top edge of the frame there in a small cantelevered shelf with a decorative pediment. The mirror has two white glazed ceramic bun feet to rest on the mantel. This is an impressively elegant mirror that would look fantastic in a period home, but would also look good in a modern setting.
