A very rare and unusual antique Victorian silver amethyst overlay perfume bottle with an ornate silver hinged mount
The hand cut glass body is amethyst overlay with V lines throughout. No chips, cracks or flea bites. The chisel stopper is also perfect. The hinged mount has no dents, splits or holes. A few imperfections (pictured) consummate with its age and use
Makers mark slightly rubbed but could be Green & Cadbury Ltd
Other hallmarks clearly show, made in Birmingham, 1896
