Antique Victorian Silver Double Overlay Scent Perfume Bottle 1899 Rare

A very rare Antique Victorian silver perfume bottle with a double overlay cut glass body. The hollow cut glass, in a stunning blue and white has no chips or cracks. A few tiny flea bites can been seen using a loupe. The original chisel stopper is perfect. A small amount of staining can be seen under a strong light. The domed, plain, hinged mount has no dents, holes or splits. Fully hallmarked J.G & S (John Grinsell & Sons), Birmingham, 1899. Established around 1871 on Tower Street in Birmingham with additional showrooms in Holborn Circus (London). Their speciality was high quality tableware, silver mounted glassware, claret jugs and decorative novelty items. A rare piece of history
