Description
A very fine Derby figure in biscuit porcelain, of classical theme, depicting Jason at the altar of Diana sacrificing a goat kid, the model named as Sacrifice. Beautifully modelled with exceptional detail. Patch marks to the base and incised N14, c.1775.
This model is documented as "rare" by the Derby Porcelain International Society in Derby Porcelain Figures by Stuart Shepherd, page 259.
