Description
Rare and very desirable engraved brass scroll sign 'Viande 1er Choix' (Premier Class Meat!) which was made as an original trade sign to hang in a butchers shop in France. Similar shield shaped engraved brass signs with lettering occasionally turn up though are becoming much rarer to find. Over the years I have found some beauties!
A Collector's item, measuring 27" long x 5" high. Hangs via two original hooks on the reverse. From France circa 1900 - 1930, in excellent condition
