This is a charming novelty glass match striker and holder, dating from the end of the Victorian era. The body is constructed in the form of a boot with a silver mount. The glass boot is nicely modelled with a slouched leg and rough textured tinted glass on the cuff for striking. An unusual and fun item for the collector.
