Description
This is a rare and usual piece of mid 19th Century glassware. This small example is believed to be an apothecary glass, for use by a chemist or pharmacist. The trumpet shaped bowl rises from a plain stem, with the rim featuring a small pouring lip to one side. The foot is lightly domed and there is a clean broken pontil mark to the underside. The glass is of good colour and carries striations and internal bubbles from the glass blowing process.
A rare and collectable piece.
