Description
A rare miniature silver compact, dating from the reign of King George V. The oval-shaped body is beautifully engraved with acanthus leaf decoration and the lid has a vacant shield shaped cartouche. The hinged lid opens to reveal a richly gilded interior and the original mirror. A lovely collector's piece, evocative of the age of elegance.
