A rare 18th Century Georgian silver mounted pepper caster, with an early Sheffield Assay mark. This gorgeous example has a glass body with step cutting to the neck and alternate panels of slice and barrel cutting to the body. The hallmarked silver lid has a repeat design to echo the fluted cutting on the body and a steeple finial. The Maker is not shown in the Sheffield Register and is M F & Co.
