Rare Vintage Henriette Dice Ball Powder Compact c.1940

Here we have a rare vintage novelty sphere shaped powder compact with working green and red dice on a cream celluloid ground and under a domed clear lucite top. The compact is unmarked but I believe it may be manufactured by Henriette. This powder compact is made of shiny gold tone metal and has a flattened base so can stand upright without support and without rolling away. The compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to a cream celluloid interior with clear and reflective mirror under the lid. The deep powder well in the base is empty. This rare 1940s powder compact is offered in good vintage condition with no dents or dings to the case. The gold tone metal has some discolouration and scratches. There is no damage to the celluloid top and the dice move freely. The compact measures approx. 5.5cm in height and has a diameter of 5.3cm.
