Description
A fine example of an early 19th Century Tea Caddy. It is made from beautiful partridge wood edged with an inlaid border and matching escutcheon. It is an attractive sarcophagus shape with a pair of brass carrying handles and it stands on small brass ball feet.
It has two removable lidded compartments and the inside of the lid is lined with lovely old red paper.
It is in very good condition for its age. The inside is clean and tidy and the exterior has a rich patina. The linings inside the caddy compartments have worn over time and there are some signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
