Description
Elegantly proportioned Regency rosewood combined writing and worktable c1820. Rectangular top with radiused corners. Crossbanded rosewood border to top framing the inset leather writing surface with tooled edge detail. The top above a cock-beaded, fitted draw and pull-out pleated, moiré-covered workbasket to front. Faux draws to back, making the piece work in the round. Raised on four turned rosewood legs terminating with original brass cup casters. Retaining its original finish and aged patina. The worktable measures 70 cm in height, 60 cm in width and 49 cm in depth.

This worktable is in excellent condition commensurate with age. Drawers run freely. All joints are solid. Moiré fabric cover in excellent condition. Minor historic marks, wear and repairs as is to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
