Reynolds Angels Silver Topped Cut Glass Dressing Table Jar

Here we have a large delightful heavy, cut glass dressing table jar from the workshops of W J Myatt & Co, dating from 1904/5. However, for many, the silver lid portraying five'Reynold's, Angels is undoubtedly the star of this 120 year old, tour de'force. Alas this beautiful item, whilst having dodged a lot of potential perils, failed to evade a very small cutting crack on the rim, under the lid, hence the great value it offers. The second is a little more obvious and relates to a compression dent to the rim, something that many dressing table jar lids suffer from. All that said, this is a really great lidded jar and probably has the best set of Reynold's Angels I have seen in quite a long time.
