This is an original charcoal and watercolour painting by Robert Bevan. This work has been authenticated by the Bevan Estate as an original, saying:
The Polish Peasant probably dates from ca.1904-07. As you may know, Bevan made many studies of Polish costume at that time.
He is an important British Artist who’s work has fetched in excess of £60,000 at Auction and is exhibited in the Tate Gallery.
