Superb pair of gilded and polychrome wood sculptures from the late 15th century, circa 1500, with a Gothic influence. Original polychrome and gilding that have retained superb colours, museum quality. Magnificent drapery. Magnificent facial expressions, the Virgin weeping for the death of Jesus and Saint John the Baptist watching the crucifixion.
