Description
Fine Scottish George III mahogany cased stick barometer by Stott of Dumfries. The silvered dial finely engraved. The serpentine fronted case with oval cistern cover and shaped pediment to top all in fine un-touched original condition. In full working order with new replaced boxwood cistern and tube. Fine rich colour with good waxed patina. Stott of Dumfies is a noted and recorded maker from the end of the 18th. century.
