Set of Eight French Painted Chairs c.1940
These chairs, in the Rococo revival style, have rush seats and cabriole front legs, serpentine crest rails and modified ladderback-type splats. The chairs all retain their original off-white painted finish with gilded highlights and the decoration has aged beautifully, mellowing with time.
