Description
A stunning and extremely rare set of six rosewood dining chairs by Val Rossi for McIntosh in 1964. They were made in Scotland, and date from the 1960’s.
They are of incredibly fine quality, they are from McIntosh’s premium range which cost around double the normal price when they were first made. It’s easy to see why, the chairs are solid rosewood, they are extremely well made, sturdy and heavy for their size. They are generous in proportion, the curved backs and thick padded seats make them extremely comfortable to sit in.
They have a very stylish design, this set consists of four carver armchairs, with two that are similar looking with slightly lower slung arms that slope downwards at the front.
The condition is superb throughout, we have had the frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard. The original black vinyl seats are in excellent order, with only some extremely minor wear.
