Description
This early rosewood timepiece has 2 main commendable features and is in full working order.
1. The design excellence complimented by the craftsmanship and quality of materials used (let down by the numbering on the dial.
2. The "silk suspension" method of hanging the pendulum.
The French movement, made by Henry Marc in Paris. He was a relatively unknown maker of fine clocks during the early 1800s.
One other feature I like, is the little spring loaded catch on the back door operated by the wooden button.
