Condition is good, with a few small dinks, including one to the back right corner from either an historic drop or contact. There is also light surface scratching commensurate with age and use. The makers mark is rubbed. We believe the heavy box is a fine item in which either cufflink, jewellery or many other smaller items could be elegantly stored. The rectangular cartouche to the lid remains vacant. Whilst the lid is a good fit and is in original condition, it does have a very small smile which can be seen in the photographs.
