Description
Circa 1920-1940s Small 8 Day Seth Thomas Pomfret Wall Clock
The solid walnut case with attractive pollard or burr walnut front. the lower base with quarter veneered inlaid decoration. topped by a finial. supported on an inverted pyramid base. Label to reverse for POMFRET Seth Thomas Clock Co. 1813 New York, Chicago & San Francisco.
The POMFRET clocks were a classic range of models named after the historic town of Pomfret, Connecticut USA.
The USA made Movement is Stamped Made in USA with ST within a Lozenge. Also with an M and 103A. The 103A relates to the Movement Model used in the banjo shaped clock. This model with 4 jewels is highly rated in the clock world. Good working order with time regulator lever. The silvered dial marked Seth Thomas 4-jewel with Arabic numbers.
