Staffordshire Figure Scottish Highlander Spill Vase

Charming antique English Staffordshire pearlware tall figure of a Scottish Highlander in traditional tartan attire, left hand holding walking stick, right hand on hip, and leaning against a tree trunk that doubles as a spill vase used to hold splinter to light candles or fires. From the mid-1830s until the early 1900s several Staffordshire factories specialised in these moulded earthenware portrait figurines which were decorated by hand and often depicted famous characters or personalities of the time. In good antique condition, expected general age related wear including some losses to painted decoration and all over crazing, please refer to detailed photos provided.
