Description
Exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver cream jug and sugar bowl; an addition to our silver teaware collection.
This exceptional pair consists of an antique Victorian English sterling silver cream jug and sugar bowl.
Both pieces have a circular rounded form.
The surface of each piece is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration, incorporating vacant cartouches to either side.
The upper rim of each piece is encompassed with an applied moulded border.
The cream jug and silver bowl are fitted with sterling silver opposing scrolling handles, accented with plain elevated thumbpieces.
These fine examples of antique silverware retain the original gilded interiors.

The antique silver Victorian cream jug and sugar bowl are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
