A very fine panel of 'King Charles II and his favourite Mistress' in the gardens of a Church / Castle. The bright colours of the raised stump work embroidery, and fine detail of the faces, bring to life this antique textile picture. The back of the picture frame is inscribed with a faded reference to the title of the work. circa 1680
