Studio Art Glass

This striking vintage studio art glass bowl features a dramatic, heavily ruffled and undulating tricorn or "handkerchief" rim that showcases dynamic, organic forms from every angle. The interior of the basin reveals a soft, multi-toned, spattered or mottled composition of seafoam green and subtle plum swirls against an opaque white ground. When inverted, the underside displays an iridescent, slightly metallic sheen over a textured, vibrant green band accented by abstract, fluid ribbons of dusty pink and dark green spotting. The piece is completed by a frosted, ground pontil base featuring a faint, hand-engraved artist signature. Most likely from Malta.
