Stylish Victorian Rosewood Jewellery Box

Good quality 19th Century (c.1870) Victorian antique rosewood jewellery box, the top with engraved central brass escutcheon, the front with matching keyhole escutcheon. The box opens to reveal the original Moroccan leather interior, re-lined in a purple cotton moire fabric and complimentary purple silk velvet. The lift-out tray reveals further storage areas beneath. To the rear of the box a brass button releases the front drawer, similarly re-lined. It has a working lock and tassled key.
