Superb Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Champleve Jewellery Box

This absolutely gorgeous late 19th century gilt bronze jewellery box features a lovely series of Champleve inset designs around the sides and the top. The champleve patterns are done in a green, white and pale blue colour wave. The box also has a etched checkered pattern around the top of the rim and bordering around the base. The handle on the top is very ornate and displays a scroll design. The box also has a working lock with the original key. This item would make an excellent accent or decorator’s piece in a wide range of rooms and settings both contemporary and traditional.
