A superb quality late 19th Century King-size bed, with extensive parquetry inlay of exotic woods, with we'll cast ormolu appliqués and feet. All recently cleaned and waxed, emphasizing the wonderful colour of the timbers. This bed comes with headboard, footboard and side rails, which have been stretched to accommodate a modern King-size mattress. The bed actually measures 170 centimetres wide, larger than normal so will comfortably accommodate a modern King-size mattress. The rails have been modified to accommodate slats to support a mattress ( which can be supplied if required)..
