Superb Regency Mahogany Chest of Drawers

The fine chest has a grand design with recessed drawers with superb lions mask handles flanked by spiral cone columns that taper to fluted pillars above the fabulous Regency paw feet. The practical chest has great storage capacity with an arrangement of seven drawers. Two small drawers to the right, one with an internal pair of small keepsake drawers for jewellery, cuff links etc. A grand deep ‘hat ‘ drawer centrally and another equally deep single drawer to the left as 2 faux drawers. These above three spacious long drawers. All are in excellent condition and run smoothly in the cabinet. A most attractive and rare piece from around 1830. Provenance:- Property of a Gentleman.
