Tall Antique Famille Rose Vase, Chinese, Ceramic, Qing, Centrepiece c.1900

This is a tall antique Famille Rose vase. A Chinese, ceramic decorative baluster urn, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. A treat of visual interest and of good proportion for use as a centrepiece, displaying a desirable aged patina, in good antique order throughout. Ceramic shows a crisp white ground, with applied gilt finish. The body decorated with twelve panels, alternating between figural and nature scenes. To the front and rear, a vibrant, colourful court scene of several seated figures. Secondary panels offer a bountiful tree visited by colourful birds of paradise and butterflies. Gold coloured vestigial handles in the form of Oriental lions. Generous opening diameter ideal for presenting a generous bouquet of flowers.
