Two Antique Carved Horses From 19th Century Childrens' Carousel

Two Original Childrens' Carved Wooden Fairground Horses made by the Heyn company in Germany for a Juvenile Carousel in late 19th century England. The pair of small 'Dobby' Horses made circa 1880-1890 by German company Heyn ( who supplied horses for Carousels in this country before the English makers' Spooner and Anderson had taken over in tha market) would have hung on brass poles on a Halstead 'Swing-Out' ride. These two small horses surviving from a larger set are in good sturdy condition in their old slightly worn paintwork. with various small imperfections from age and usage.
